LYME HUNTER PACE

The Lyme Hunter Pace is a cross-country ride with a partner over a marked and timed course of up to 9 miles that includes 2-3’ jumps that riders may go over or around.

PRIZES!

Hunter: Experienced in the hunt field and want to take the course at a faster pace, traditionally a fox hunt pace.

Hilltopper: A more leisurely pace than Hunter, about 25% slower for the novice horse and/or rider.

Youth: Riders age 18 or under. Teams can enter as Hunter or Hilltopper. Teams of three are permissible.
Best Conditioned Horse:
Vet check will be immediately following the finish.


TEAMS will be limited to a time of go between 8:00 and 11:00 AM.

  • All Hunters MUST leave before Hilltoppers and will be assigned a time of go between 8:00 and 9:30 AM.
  • Hilltoppers will be assigned times of go after Hunters.
  • Be on time. Unfortunately, if you miss your time of go, we cannot guarantee you another starting opportunity.
  • There is a mandatory safety check prior to start.
  • Please indicate your preferred time of go on the entry form and we will try to accommodate you.

CHECKPOINT: Riders must check in for a mandatory 3-minute hold.

 

ENTRY FEE: $65/rider. Early registration discount of $10 prior to August 20th. Lunch is not included in the entry fee. Food can be purchased from 8:00am-2:00pm.

  •   Register Online (preferred) HERE:  Payment options are Credit Card (online) or check. For your convenience, you can upload your Coggins and Rabies on your on-line registration. Please have a digital copy available for all team horses when you register.

  • Checks payable to Lyme Trail Association. 
  • TIME OF GO: Will not be guaranteed unless entry fees are received by Sept. 1Starting September 5th, check the Lyme Trail Association website at lymetrailassociation.org for updates. For additional questions, email: mellis@highhopestr.org.
  • Proof of a negative Coggins and rabies within 12 months are required with entry.
  • Entry fees will be refunded minus a $15 office fee until Sept. 1. After Sept. 4 no entry fee will be refunded without a note from a doctor or veterinarian.

LUNCH: Can be purchased on your own and will be provided by Munchies Food Truck from 8:00 am-2:00 pm.

DIRECTIONS

From I -95 South – Exit 70, at the end of ramp, go straight ΒΌ mile to T; turn right on Rte. 156 North; go 2.6 miles; Lord Creek Farm is on left.

From I-95 North - Exit 70; at end of ramp go left onto Rte. 156N; go 2.6 miles; Lord Creek Farm is on the left.

From Rte. 11 South to Rte. 82 West - go south on Rte. 156 for 6 miles, farm on right.


SAFETY RULES

1.  Horses must be sound; all equipment must be in good repair.
2. ASTM Safety helmet and shoes with heel required for all participants. Safety vests are recommended but not required.

3. A safety check will be made prior to the ride. If helmet, tack or mount are considered unsafe, entry fee will be refunded.

4. No minor child may be left on the grounds unattended.

5.Pink ribbon and arrows will mark the direction of the ride. FOR SAFETY REASONS, DO NOT RIDE OFF MARKED TRAILS.

6. Please do not bring pets.

7.  Please rebuild any jump you might knock down because a fallen down jump can be very dangerous for those who are still to come.

 

Tack Sale

High Hopes Therapeutic Riding will be hosting a tack sale of gently used tack the day of the event.


Raffle Tent
Hunter Pace participants and spectators should also plan to stop by the raffle tent, a new feature of this year's event. Come meet your local Pony Club members and purchase tickets for a chance to win merchandise and gift certificates from local businesses.
